Follow in Stormskär's Maja's footsteps in this historic and scenic setting. Skarpnåtö Hembygdsgård has been a filming location for both the TV series about Stormskärs Maja from the 1970s and the film that premiered in January 2024. If you have seen the series or the film, you will surely recognize yourself here. On site are Jalle and Britta who, whenever possible, are happy to tell both about the farm's history and about what it was like to participate during the recording time.
Fika is offered on site and, weather permitting, you can sit down in the leafy garden and enjoy it among the meadow and apple blossoms. Also look into the outhouse and learn about what life was like in this exciting place.
If you want to experience the local environment, you can take a walk to the ferry dock for the bicycle ferry that runs between Hammarland and Geta.
The bicycle ferry makes 3 trips between Lolo´s cafe´ in Geta - Skarpnåtö during the day.
From Lolo's at 12.30, 14.00 and 15.30
From Skarpnåtö at 13.30, 15.00 and 16.00
Travel time 20 minutes.
Special price of the day: €10 per person t/r.
Or why not take a turn to the Skarpnåtö observation tower to look out over the beautiful landscape!
Please bring cash to support the association and the contribution will go towards the valuable preservation of the farm and its history. And who knows, maybe you'll be in the next film.
